Glasgow to get fun night combining emo anthems, cocktails and pottery painting
A fun new event combining emo anthems and pottery painting is coming to Glasgow – and it promises to transport scene, emo and pop-punk lovers back to the 2000s.
Hosted by independent pottery painting studio The Craft Pottery, the 'Pot Punk' event is taking place at Moxy Merchant City on Wednesday, March 27.
Music fans can prove that it is, in fact, not just a phase, as they paint to a soundtrack of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Panic at the Disco, All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Good Charlotte, Pierce the Veil, Death Cab for Cutie, Of Mice and Men, Sleeping with Sirens and Blink-182.
Fans can enjoy themed mocktails and cocktails, including ‘Party Poison’ and ‘The Taste of Blood’.
Those who aren’t as confident with a paintbrush shouldn’t fret: stencils of all their favourite gothic legends and logos will be at hand to aid in the creation of an emo masterpiece.
A spokesperson for The Craft Pottery said: “It’s not our first rodeo hosting an emo pottery painting night - they always prove popular, and it’s no wonder! Emo is such a huge part of Glasgow’s recent history, and we love seeing Four Corners and Cathouse stalwarts coming along, keen to relive those heydays.
“Whether you were crying along to the music in the 00s, or you just love the genre - come down to Moxy and create some gorgeous crockery that really shows how you feel on the inside.
“We love seeing all of the creations that come from our events, so please tag us on instagram @thecraftpottery and let us have a look!”
