Spring break staycation

Spring is in the air and Purdue students are anxiously waiting for spring break to begin this weekend.

For those who will stay in the Greater Lafayette area, there are a number of spring themed things to do. From chilling outdoors taking in the sunshine to doing fun activities and crafts, there is bound to be an activity here anyone can enjoy.

Crafts and DIY projects

Crafts such as pottery painting and candle making allow participants to be immersed into an artistic experience.

All Fired Up!, located in the walkway near Hilton Garden Inn at 310 E. State St., is a “paint-your-own pottery studio.”

There is a wide variety of pottery pieces to paint, as well as some special spring themed items.

Their hours are noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Pricing varies depending on the item chosen, with the cheapest option being $10.

On Mondays, all students with IDs get ten percent off their purchase. To learn more about pricing and daily specials, go to the All Fired Up website.
