For more than 20 years - the Pottery Piazza has been the perfect place for painting parties. They offer ceramics, mosaics, and also wheel throwing pottery classes.

Owner Sarah Ewertowski really liked the word piazza — because she says it means gathering place in Italian. She thought Pottery Piazza was the perfect name, because it could be a gathering place where people of all ages and abilities can come and sit down and paint and be creative together and have a great time.

She says now is the season for planning personalized gifts. In this week's Road Trip Close to Home News 12 Photojournalist Lori Golias takes us to Plainville.
