Creating Hanukkah Memories at Cranford’s Fire Me Up

CRANFORD, NJ - For more than a decade, the team at Fire Me Up Studio have found artful ways to help locals get into the holiday spirit. When Tammie Ramos-Crispino opened Fire Me Up Studio in 2013, she wanted it to be a place where people could let go and create freely, a place that brings joy and happiness to the town.

“What I didn’t imagine was that we would build an amazing family and community in this space, and we would create endless memories,” she told TAPinto Cranford. “Summer campers are now part of the team, old team members are now married with little ones coming into the studio to paint. It’s really become a family.”

And the holiday season is one of their favorite times of the year. “We see families come in to paint together,” said Ramos-Crispino. “Sometimes multiple generations come in to make holiday decorations year after year as they build their collections. It is priceless.”

Want to make your own holiday decorations? They have two upcoming events to celebrate Hanukkah this year. First is Happy Hanukkah Storytime on Sunday, December 3 at 2:00, where children ages 2+ will listen to a story and then create an art project. Then, on December 10, join Fire Me Up for a Hanukkah Pottery Painting event at 4:00 for people of all ages.

There are also loads of other holiday happenings, including story times for kids ages 2+, drop-off event for ages 6+, and a number of all-age painting parties. For more information and to register, visit Fire Me Up's website.
