Dress for Mess at Arts A Blaze Summer Camp

Every Friday in June and July from 8 am- 12 pm, young inspiring female artists ages 7 and up are invited to paint pottery and create arts and crafts masterpieces at Arts A Blaze, Lakewood Ranch's original pottery painting studio (located on Lakewood Main Street) serving the Sarasota-Bradenton-Lakewood Ranch area since April 2009.

With a ratio of two teachers to ten students, the camp is run by studio owner, Joann Kavanaugh, a Lakewood Ranch resident, parent and artist. The camp day includes themed projects, instruction and a snack. And while getting paint on clothing and hands can be lots of fun for the girls, Kavanaugh advises that the young artists dress for mess.

Summer is made for fun and at Arts A Blaze Studio, everyone is having fun, including the staff members. Instructor Mckenna White says, “This is the best job EVER!”
