2024 Convention Gamer Gala

Get ready to level up for a night of games, good company, and munchies on Sunday, September 8th. More details about the location coming soon!

Let loose, have fun, and discuss what you’re learning while supporting a great cause.

This year it’s laid-back with more time to mingle, munch, and dive into some serious gaming! Dress comfy, no need for fancy stuff. We've got yummy finger foods to kick things off, and the bar’s open for drinks for purchase. During the Gamer Gala, we're spicing things up with live auctions, plus we'll reveal the winners of our raffles and Golden Ticket!

There will be two gaming trucks onsite. Each truck can accommodate 24 players with a wide variety of games to choose from! Enjoy games like Just Dance, Mario Party, Sonic and many more! If you're up for some action, head over to the Laser Tag zone! Laser tag encourages players to practice cooperation and teamwork.

It's gonna be epic!

2024 Auction

The Gala Auction is one of the highlights of the convention! Members are asked to create a piece of art made from pottery, glass, mosaics, or other mediums—whatever inspires them—and donate the items to be bid on in our silent auction. We also have had items such as vacation homes, gift certificates, and weekend giveaways. The items are on display and open for bidding from when they are turned in through Sunday at 1:30 PM when everyone will gather to place their last-minute bids.

In 2019, PYOP studios from around the world generously donated over 90 auction items, for Make-A-Wish Western New York, which raised an impressive $12,000. Last year, Convention attendees raised over $17,000 for the Northern Nevada RAVE Family Foundation! If you're new to the CCSA or looking for inspiration, feel free to check out past auction pieces on the Facebook Chatter page under albums. We would be grateful for your contribution of any unique piece to be included in this year's auction. No item is too big or too small! And if you wish to pre-ship, please make sure it arrives between August 6th and August 22nd. Don't forget to complete the Auction Release Form and include it with your piece. Thank you for your support.

To ensure proper tracking of packages, kindly notify Taylor Barrow at taylor@ccsaonline.com if you intend to ship something. Additionally, if you are unable to attend the convention this year, you can still participate by donating an item for the auction.

The 2024 CCSA Convention is a Cashless Event.

Each year we collect a bounty of wonderful prizes for our raffle including items like free convention registration for the next year and other items. We set up a display area of those prizes with entry boxes next to each. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets for $10 each, and anyone who purchases 10 raffle tickets gets a free Golden Ticket! The Golden Ticket prize package is valued at over $5,000 each year. You will be able to see a current list of prizes included in this drawing on our website as they become available.

During the Convention Gala on Sunday, September 8th, we’ll draw a winner for each ancillary prize. When these prizes have been drawn, we combine all the tickets entered and draw for a winner for the Skutt Prodigy Pottery Wheel - valued at $1675. At the end of the night, we’ll draw the Golden Ticket winner from the Golden Ticket box.

    Notes:

  • Winners must be present to win.

  • When buying your raffle tickets, you will be instructed to write your name and phone number on the back, and then you will be responsible for finding the raffle box location and Golden Ticket box location and dropping your own tickets into the correct box.

  • Tickets can be purchased online when you register for the Convention and on-site at the CCSA booth in the exhibit hall.

Auction Beneficiary

The Crisis Nursery provides a short-term, safe haven for almost 5,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families face an emergency caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence, or overwhelming parental stress. Providing respite care to stressed parents in crisis can prevent child abuse.

Funds raised from this event will support our Keeping Kids Safe, Building Strong Families program. Children facing multiple risk factors for child abuse/neglect will receive nurturing, culturally responsive 24-hour Crisis Care during a family crisis that puts their well-being at risk. Additionally, their parents will receive strengths-based, trauma-informed counseling to alleviate their presenting crisis and increase family safety & stability. The SLCN's extensive outcomes consistently demonstrate that families who access services benefit from increased safety and stability and a decreased risk for abuse/neglect and out-of-home placement.
