Great customer service might be invisible, but if you’ve been on the receiving end of poor customer service, you know it showed. If you’ve ever heard an employee speak to a customer in a way that made you gasp, you know how important a consistent customer service policy is. We may own pottery shops, but ultimately we’re in the business of giving great customer service. In this class we’ll discuss the importance of creating an inclusive culture centered around customer service. You’ll leave with a practical blueprint to establish the customer service culture you wish to represent your studio and present to your customers.

The book Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara was eye-opening for me and I want to share what I gleaned from it and other sources so you can create the customer service protocols that matter to you and your customers. At the same time, I want them to be natural for you and your staff so that it isn’t what they are thinking about, but instead what they do automatically. Because one size will never fit all, everyone will have subtle differences that they apply to their situation. I ask that everyone come with an open mind to try new things. We’ll also brainstorm as a group to share our best ideas.
